How to Fly High in the Name of Mental Health
Everyone knows someone struggling with some type of mental illness. Whether it is depression, anxiety, super high stress level, or worse, we need to help, and we will help. Resources are out there for everyone to access. They just need to know it’s going to be ok, that help is out there and that you can help others find resources for them.
- Be a Monarch and spread those wings. The people you tell will in turn tell others and your reach will be felt near and far.
- Wear your NOSOLO hat, tell people about the message and send people to the Resources page on our website.
We want to help. A portion of every hat sold goes directly to NAMI - National Alliance on Mental Illness.

The Monarch Butterfly is a majestic butterfly which has been chosen as a symbol for people affected by mental illness.
In the early stage of its development, the cocoon like condition of the butterfly resembles the depressed and withdrawn feelings commonly shared by people whose lives are affected by mental illness. It is without beauty or even the promise of brightness. The transition from cocoon to the delicate monarch, rich in color, symbolizes the journey so many people travel when their lives are affected by mental illness. The colors of the triumphant monarch suggests warm sunshine, brightness and hope. Just as people affected by mental illness travel toward recovery, health and wholeness, the majestic monarch overcomes many obstacles as it travels hundreds of miles in migration.
